especially good blue heron

i just literally came face to face with a great blue heron out on the windham trails. flew and landed two feet in front of my path and watched me pass. what a wingspan!

Had something similar happen when I was running once. It was one seriously enormous bird and it flew about 10 feet over my head before landing in a nearby swamp. Scared the crap out of me.
